Our Monthly Service Plan
When you become a monthly customer, Scuba Clean, Inc. will send you a packet of detailed information, including scheduled cleaning dates and our underwater cleaning service policies. With each monthly service you will receive a detailed report of your vessel's hull and prop paint condition, as well as any zincs on the boat. This report will also note any unusual items our dive technician might discover while cleaning your vessel. Some of the common discoveries are loose propellers, broken or bent trim tabs, bent propeller blades, etc. This service is also available on a one-time cleaning basis.
Why do I need Monthly Cleanings?
Consistent monthly cleanings remove the algae and barnacles that accumulate on the anti-fouling paint. The underwater cleaning activates the paint to better retard the marine growth. Monthly underwater cleanings will extend the time between haul-outs, saving you money that could be spent on other maintenance services.
There are several other advantages to the monthly service plan:
When Monthly Cleaning isn’t Enough
It’s important to understand that your vessel's hull and prop paint condition, the location of your boat and the frequency of use may alter the performance of your vessel. This is especially true during the warm water season. Hulls and props with "poor" antifouling paint will grow barnacles in between the 30-day cleanings and will require extra cleanings in the warm water season. Therefore, a ("TM") twice-monthly schedule (or every two weeks) would automatically take effect. Please note that if the condition of the anti-fouling paint on your propeller(s) is "Fair" or "Poor" and it has been more than (20) days since the last cleaning, the growth will cause your vessel to not work to manufacturer’s specifications. We suggest that you contact our office before using your boat, and we will adjust your schedule to meet your specific needs.
